Spring Potluck
From gimbap to mooncakes, ALCC students and teachers enjoyed a wide variety of cuisine from various countries and cultures at our spring potluck. This delicious feast comprised snacks, drinks, savoury dishes and sweet desserts from all corners of the world. Nothing brings people together like good food!
Origami
Origami
This month, our GEP classes had the opportunity to learn origami. Our very own teacher, Miranda, demonstrated how to make paper cranes; it isn’t as difficult as it looks! Origami originated in Japan, and is the art paper folding to create amazing designs without using scissors or glue. Some people believe that if you fold 1,000 paper cranes, one of your wishes will come true!
Trivia
Trivia
GEP students tested their knowledge of Canada during a fun afternoon of trivia. Teams worked together to compete for first place and some fun prizes. Questions ranged from general information about Canada and Canadian culture, to more specific fun facts about Nova Scotia and Halifax. Win or lose, everyone learned something new!
Graduates
Graduates
Every month, our college bids farewell to a class of hard-working UBP graduates. These dedicated students are one step closer to pursuing post-secondary studies at a Canadian college or university. Congratulations, April graduates! From all of us at ALCC, wish you the best of luck in your future studies!
